Been running like Jesus in the 110 and 220 turbo at Full Tilt Poker last 3 days. I've played a lot lately and won 5K in some few day, so I'm basically break even in septemeber.
I mean, I love FTP. I'm able to play 10 games in an hour by 1-tabling, and the action is so fast. Sometimes you can beat a fish 5 games in a row in like 15 minutes because the rematch starts directly without any 1-minute break, and the dealing is so fast.
I play quite different at FTP compared to pokerstars. because of the fast blinds structure you gotta gamble a bit more. I play flush draws and open enders like the nuts because it's a ton of value in fold equity, also early in the game. Betting strong with draws instead of calling big bets with draws is such a long term +ev superkey. Especially when the blinds are higher than 15/30. Feels a bit stupid when you lose that way vs a weaker oponent, but its the play that in many spots will give best long term value. Only exception is when you are playing against a very weak passive calling/folding station that offers about 80/20 edge if you play ABC poker.
I'm confident that I will make around 5K this month, and I'm going for 10K months in october, novermber and december. And when I get 27% rake back i'm ready to play 16 hours day non-stop and becoming an millionaire on this game ;)

Hi, I'm a female poker player in Germany and searched on some head-up blogs and finally I found HokieGreg blog. Over his link I lokked at CWF blog and now yours. I'm now reading your entries in the begining 2008 and hopefully I could make the same success as you do :-). I played a lot of 6max games from NL5 to NL100 but that bored me very soon. thanks for your comment in my blog. I play at FullTilt and my handle is tinker0815. I know that it will be a hard and stony way. I currently read in your blog that the HokieGreg Videos helped you a lot. I saw the one that is free in the net (begins with effective stack sizes explanation and implied odds)and I will buy some more in the next days. Do you recommend a video that I should see? As I was a deucescracked member in the past I loved such basic strategy series. CU maybe we see at FTP :-)

All of the hokievideos are great and covers different consepts and situations.
However i think its important to play your own game. The point with video coaching is not to change your game to imitate hokies or other mentors game completely. Just use it as an add on to your game. It will increase your insight and understanding about the game.
