Blowing my load over the entire 110 game

Ok, it's saturday night now, I'm drunk and about to leave for a party. My goal is to become absolutely retarded monkey drunk tonight, because I've not been drinking at all the last two weeks, so it's gonna be a nice break .

My monthly profit is going steady. Seriously I can't remember last time I had a losing day. In fact it's hard to even catch a losing session. It has nothing to do with running good. I'm totally over-qualified for the stake. I crushed the 110 one year ago as well, andI'm a better player now. It's a cool feeling to just sit down in the 110s and collect money every day and pretty much every session. Yesterday I won 2-0 against one of the other top 110 players with the handle: "uship this way" After the second win I declined the rematch at told in the chat "one word.......: OWNED". Rofl.

+8.5K so far in october (that's clean game-profit, no rakeback). I excpect to make around 11-12K this month. Nice to finally get solid results after sacreficing a big part of my youth on this game. It's sick how i've managed to slowly but for sure improved slightly evey month. 2 years ago I could not even beat the 6's even though I had a ton of experince (3000 HU sngs games played). I've been coaching a player with the handle doblew at FTP lately. He had a bad run in the 6s so I wanted to help out and played some games on he's account in the 6's. Some hours later i had won 20 buy ins. The same thing happend a week later. And I promise you my edge in the 6's turbos is just insane now. I would predict about 70/30 edge long run, which means i would win less if my opponents went all in every hand. Sick that i some years ago strugled hard to figure out how to beat that game. The difference between then and now is millions of small details that i've learned by playing and reflecting over millions of hands that in total adds up to an huge edge. I will start climbing the stakes at FTP in 2010. How far is it possible to reach in this game when you got no talent at all? Is it possible to reach the top?

I'm thinking yes, based on the insane amount of time I will spend on this game when i'm done with school in a year. However time will show, maybe i will be satesfied and settle down with like 200K/year and spend more time on other things.

Well done Thomas...I love hearing about other peoples success in all aspects of life. Oh..and I like the pornographic poker metaphors too...keep it up buddy!

Hi thomas, congrats for your success on HU game.
I am playing 9 players SNG but I would like to become a winning player on HU. What do you advise to do?
Review sessions, watching videos, read some books and play a lot?

Thanks

Don't mess with uship in my opinion Thomas.

Congrats, you're doing well, but I wouldn't mess with a guy of his skill level, you want the highest chance at continued success, not a grudge match with one of the better FTP players at $230-345.

Thomas... <3, but seriously, I will prop bet all day if you want that 70/30 isnt sustainable long run in $6 turbos =]. and uship is my protege, and a beast, your the man, but he's my #1 :)

Hokie, are you really just realizing that this insecure clown has a huge ego? Really?

BTW, I enjoyed your 5-video pack Hokie. Much respect for you. Zero respect for the clown though.

Noticed Uship reset his scope stats tonight...you been beating up on him again?

wingpin - sharkscope endgamep and go to head to head record vs uship and you'll find i'm 27-25 on him. I'm hitting variance right now and still beating him, it should be a lot more.

I look forward to the day he has the balls to move up and take me on at 220. I doubt that day is anytime soon though.

Thomas - If you want to make claims that your the best reg at any level, then at elast stop bum hunting and sit other winning players and prove your the best. Otherwise shut the fck up and just continue to bum hunt.

Peace, and gl, (and i mean that, so you move up soon hopefully ;) )

Uship

LOL. The usual and regular Thomas life-tilt going on at the moment. Down over $4k in the last few days.

Keep blowing your load.

That's bc HokieGreg used to censor his blog!!!!111

At least Thomas is respecting people's opinions enough to leave their comments, props for that Thomas, especially in what looks like a bit of a downswing.

@GB: 3K is a bit more accurate, or about 27 buyins over like 200 games. I dont know if and at what level you play poker/sng´s yourself, biy swings of this type are just baked into Thomas´ playiong style (overly lag, fullpot cbetting and lotsa gamblepushes). Its the same style that can net him 2K$ in a day sometimes. I dont understand where your (childish) schadenfreude comes from, but its a little pathetic from where I stand. GL Thomas, take a break, tweak yer game a little and get back on track. Nezh

Wing: Thanks. Next time i reach another high i will be ready with more porn.

Primo: I'm actually tempted to take you on the 70% win rate propbet in the 6s, because i think its very close. However i will not because it will take more than a month and tons of lost time to get a decent sample, and I'm not sure i can make 70%.

I'm 90% sure i will make at least 65% win rate there, so if anyone want to make a 10K probet on that (lets say 500 or 1000 games sample) i'm ready. But 70% might be a little bit too tough. Maybe with sharkscope game-selection in front of every game ;)

Ryan: I'm never the one messing with regulars in the first place. But i'll fight anyone that wants to fight. Anyone who want's to waste their time playing me at 100 and 200s are welcome. Even though i lose 1-4 I know they would have probably won 4-0 if they ran that good against a fish. The good thing about it is that we are improving our games more when playing tough games.

I notice that the marginal winning regular Uship has been consistently losing money the last month, which make sense when he is sitting a lot against other regulars that are ether better or at least aproximatly equally skilled.

Confidence is superkey in HUsngs, and it gotta be really hard to stay confident and play your A-game if youre not making money. So I think to improve as a player i think making consistently money is more important than playing tough games. But it's a balance here, you gotta play some tough games sometimes to improve, but make sure to controll your business so you can be confident that youre doing +ev every month and are getting more net worth and more confident pretty much every month.

Luis: Get a coach. Unless you have some sort of extreme talent you gotta have coaching to succeede.
