Had my worst downswing and life tilt ever at pokerstars this month. The disaster began when I two tabled 230s vs regulars and stuff. Pretty ridic, I never learn. I would have been fine in the 230s if sticked to playing 1 table and didn't rematch regualrs.
However It's a big problem that the lobby is clogged with regulars. Pokerstars should really learn from Full Tilt Poker and open more than 1 registration at once. It's totally nonsense and obviously reducing the action. I'm sure that it's a lot of fishy and mediocre players that do not want to play against dibasio anymore, but would like to try out an another player. Ridiculously often a player is sitting 5-15 minutes in the lobby before a game is starting. I'm absolutely sure it would be way more 230 action if they opened more registrations.
After a 3K downswing in the 230 I moved down to the "safe" 115 game at pokerstars. And I performed pretty bad poker wise and business wise by tilting a lot and playing a lot vs regulars. I guess i'm a bit cocky when I comes to the 115 turbo, and you cant really blame me for that since i've been putting my penis thourough the entire 115 game in a year now. Hardly ever downswinged more than 1.5K. I excpected to two table the game like a stupid packman game at autopilot and grind back the 3K i lost earlier this month. Didn't take me long to drop 2K. Obviously ran bad. But lost a lot more than I had to, because I had zero respect for my opponents or the the entire game. And I was still a bit tilted after the 3K downswing in the 230s.
After losing in the 115 game I experienced life tilt. Crushed my computer, crushed my mobile phone and spoiled some soda around in my room. Can't really remember last time I was that angry. I'm still pissed off by looking at the pokerstars lobby and recognize some of the retardednes that is going on there. So I've banned my self from pokerstars now and i'm not sure I will ever come back on a regular basis.
I got a great new laptop and a sony ericsson T700. Really cool phone. very slim and light. And it got a solid video camera.
http://www.mobileincanada.com/images/store/sonyericsson-t700.jpgI'm even more excited about my new secondary internet connection. It's mobile broadband connection. It's simply a stick that looks like a memory stick that you plug into the USB in the laptop and youre online all over the world. Only cost me 200 dollars/year. Looking forward to play HU sngs when ever i'm traveling. At airports, hotels, the train, in a car, etc. Moreover its nice to use it as a back up connection if my regulary connection fail.
I'm happy to try the 110 and 220 HU sngs out Full Tilt. The turbos at FT is quite different from pokerstars. Everything is faster. The cards are dealt faster, the blinds are faster, and the bet pot button, as well as the all in button, facilitates fast and tough action. And thankfully FT does not have that stupid 1 minute break before the game start. Even though I'm 1-tabling I manage to play 50 games a day, because an average game only last like 5 min.
So far i've been crushing it. I love to 1-table and I love the fast action. I believe HU at FT might be more suited to my abilities. Moreover I believe the game is overall slightly softer at FT compared to pokerstars. Seems to be less strong regulars and more unexperienced players at FT. Bay the way, my handle at FT is EndgameP (not thomasny)
My goal is to make around 10K month by playing 115-230s at FTP, and I'm working with getting a standard 27% rakeback deal.
September total profit: Pokerstars -5K
FT +2.8K
So I feel mentally stable now. Its enough tilt and self-destructive for a while. It's a fun game and I looooove money.
My goal is to play a TON at FTP the rest of the month and save the month. Happy if I make +5K total in september
Later, Thomas.
